Just had a nice spread in SEA Globe magazine on a story I shot on elephants logging in Lao PDR's beautiful Hongsa Valley. 

Stealing Beauty in Redux Newspaper

The second edition of Redux's newsprint promo just came out and features some of my Stealing Beauty portraits. Real excited to see one of my portraits on the cover and with over 1000 copies being mailed out to their clients I guess it will get me some good exposure with US postal workers!

Cycling in Kanchanaburi for JetStar Magazine

This was a feature I wrote/shot recently for JetStar about cycling tours through Thailand's Kanchanaburi province. Only 3 hours outside of Bangkok the area is home to impressive national parks and infamous for their WW2 history of Allied POW's building the 'death railway' into Burma.

Big thanks to Spice Roads for helping me out (and letting me ride on the roof of the van!), highly recommend for anyone interested in bike tours in Asia.

Cover Shoot for Fah Thai

This was a fun cover shoot I did recently for Fah Thai with acclaimed Thai fashion designer Polpat Asavaprapha, the man behind the label Asava.

Gold and Silver in PX3

Was very happy to see two series of mine awarded in the 2012 Prix De La Photographie Paris (PX3). My Stealing Beauty portrait series on the dying tradition of female facial tattooing among the Chin in Myanmar got a gold in the portraiture category. And a photo-essay I did on Chin State got a silver in the travel category.  There's a lot of really great work up in the winners gallery here and was happy to see my friend Luke Duggleby's awesome series on the Dhammakaya temple recognized too. 

Bangkok Fashion in Wall Street Journal

I recently started working with the Wall Street Journal contributing to a regular feature they do on fashion in Asia that appears in their weekend style section and online. It's the first time I've been asked by anyone to do street fashion and a bit of a nice change of pace for me since I usually roll into portrait shoots carrying a back straining amount of lighting and lenses. If you're familiar with New York Times street fashion legend Bill Cunningham, its a bit like that only instead of a bicycle I get around on my chopper and unlike Bill, I have very little fashion sense.
